London: Heineken has been named the leading drinks supplier to British pubs and bars in the 2024 Advantage Report, achieving a significant score of 65, far above the average of 19 among 26 suppliers, as the company reinforces its commitment to industry support amid challenges.
Heineken has been recognised as the leading drinks supplier to British pubs and bars, according to the newly released 2024 Advantage Report Voice of the Customer. The company achieved a notable score of 65, significantly surpassing the average score of 19 out of a total of 26 participating suppliers in the study.
The Advantage Report gathered insights from prominent national pub groups, including Stonegate, Greene King, Fuller Smith & Turner, and Admiral Taverns. The findings indicate that Heineken’s UK arm has established a strong position in what remains a competitive market for drinks suppliers.
Will Rice, Heineken UK’s on-trade director, expressed gratitude for the accolade, stating, “We have invested significant time and energy to understand the needs of pub operators, both large and small, and how we can better support them, so being recognised in this way is a massive testament to our efforts.” He added that the current climate presents considerable challenges for the sector and that the company is committed to using the insights gained from the report to continue supporting pubs, bars, and restaurants in their growth into 2025 and beyond.
Andrew Johnston, managing director of Advantage Group UK and Ireland, highlighted the report’s significance by noting that it involved feedback from over 100 on-trade customers regarding their suppliers’ engagement with their businesses. Johnston remarked that according to the feedback from these customers, Heineken is viewed as “the best supplier to do business with.” He further underscored the competitive nature of the channel and affirmed that achieving such recognition is a tribute to Heineken’s comprehensive business capabilities.
